Meet Heather C. Conover, Founder & CEO

Founder and CEO of Conover + Company Communications, Inc., Heather Conover has more than 25 years of communications experience focused on environmental communications, public education, community involvement, and corporate citizenship programs. She has worked with federal, state, and local government agencies and private sector, education, and non-profit clients on a wide range of energy, environmental, green marketing and development projects. Heather has lived and worked abroad and overseen projects in more than fifty countries.

Heather was trained as an environmental planner and policy analyst and has drawn on this background to execute numerous public education and community involvement programs. Recent projects include community relations and public participation programs for Shaw's Supermarkets, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority and National Grid, for whom she has worked on several complex transmission siting projects.

Projects for private sector clients includes work with the Boston Park Plaza Hotel on the their award-winning (President's Environment and Conservation Challenge Award) environmental and energy conservation program. Heather also works with Stop & Shop and Giant Food to educate the public about their leadership in energy efficiency and conservation programs and green initiatives, including LEED-EB, ENERGY STAR Leaders, and SmartWay Transport.

Heather holds an M.A. in Urban, Social, and Environmental Policy from Tufts University. She is a board member of the Environmental Business Council of New England and "e" inc., and a member of the economic development committee of the 495/MetroWest Corridor Partnership, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, and the Public Relations Society of America's environmental professional interest section.

Heather offers clients strategic communications guidance and has hands-on involvement in all phases of the firm's projects from strategic planning to execution.
