Communications for development and siting must stress honesty and transparency. We believe that early involvement of stakeholders and engagement in two-way dialog lead to joint problem solving, successful projects, and reputation enhancement.
We are experts at working with siting teams to develop and implement communication programs that provided coordinated support for community outreach and education, public affairs, government relations, permitting and licensing, and media relations.
Some of our team's projects have included:
- technical advisory groups (TAG) for controversial siting (and cleanup) projects at a large energy delivery company. TAGS have been used successfully on many contentious projects and awarded highest honors by the company and a prestigious environmental business group
- risk communications for complex issues such as electromagnetic fields where we created a way for local elected officials to communicate about EMF to constituents in a clear, simple way
- strategic communications for developers including
- identification of key stakeholders
- work with developers and the community to identify community questions, concerns, and needs
- development of open and transparent process for addressing project and community goals
- public education and public involvement programs for brownfields assessment, hazardous waste remediation, energy facilities siting. and redevelopment projects
- surveys, meeting, and dialogue facilitation, and working groups for development and facility siting projects
